Photocopied papers and photographs of Brigadier General Richard A. Knobloch of West Allis, Wis. who was a pilot in World War II with the 37th Bombardment Group and took part in the first bombing raid against Tokyo. Papers conist of biographical information including a historical data questionnaire, a photocopied United States Air Force biography, and an oral history completed by the Institute of Texan Cultures. The collection also includes photocopied articles about the Doolittle Tokyo Raiders of which Knobloch piloted the thirteenth B-25 to take off under the command of James H. Doolittle during the first bombing raid on Tokyo (Japan). There is an oversize poster highlighting the bombing raid on Tokyo. The photographs are of Richard A. Knobloch, James H. Doolittle, the crew of B-25 number 13, and the fortieth reunion of the Doolittle Tokyo Raiders.

James Harold "Jimmy" Doolittle (December 14, 1896 – September 27, 1993) was an American military general and aviation pioneer who received the Medal of Honor for his daring raids on Japan during World War II.
